This is part of the 'Tourist series': a body of work consisting of around 15 paintings which I painted while living in Saigon, Vietnam in 2006. It was exhibited in the Blue Space Gallery there in October 2006 before being shipped to Europe.

'Xe Om' is the Vietnamese name for a motorcycle taxi. The man on the bike is Lao, who was my xe om driver in Saigon.
